We all love a good blowout and if you haven’t had one, do this for yourself. It’s wonderful! There are blow dry bars popping up in cities all over the country (my fav is Blo in Miami) and it’s an awesome treat for yourself and your hair. A good blowout will make your hair shiny and full of body and is so much better for your hair than using the flatiron! If you pay for a blowout, considering the time and effort, you want it to last for days. So,once you get that gorgeous salon look, how do you make it last? I sat down with my hairstylist to get the best tips and tricks for making a blowout last for days!
How to Make a Blowout Last for Days
- Number one rule: Once you’ve had your blowout, do not touch your hair! Keep the oils and dirt from your hands on your hands – and leave your hair alone.
- Train your hair. If your wash your hair every day, your hair relies on getting washed daily. If you begin to train your hair, by washing every other day, your hair will adjust.
- Use dry shampoo to make your blowout last for days. Spray the dry shampoo underneath and on your roots.
- Try to avoid getting sweaty when you want your blowout to last. Make your exercise routine on those days yoga, walking or light aerobics.
