How to Perk up Tired Eyes

How to Perk up Tired Eyes | Loren's World

If you had a rough night and didn’t get enough sleep, it can be difficult to look refreshed and ready to start the day. Your  eyes will be the first to tell the world you could’ve used a few more hours of rest. And though it may not be the ideal situation, life carries on and you can at least look like you snoozed for hours on end. Here’s how to fake that well-rested look and perk up tired eyes.

How to Perk up Tired Eyes

Cold Cucumber Compress – Place slices of chilled cucumbers over your eyes for 10 – 15 minutes.

Use Eye Cream – Gently apply eye cream to infuse the delicate eye area with necessary moisture. Try this Eye Balm by Lumière de Vie to soothe and reduce the appearance of puffiness.

Conceal – Cover up dark circles and blotches with concealer. An eye brightener works well, too.

Use a White Eyeliner Pencil – Applying white eyeliner to your waterline (just inside your lids on the top and bottom) will make you appear more awake and refreshed.

Hightlight – Use a highlighter at the top of your brow bone, in the inner corner of your eye, and just above your cheeks for a healthy glow.

Use Shimmery Eye Shadow – Sweep a pearlescent or gold-specked eye shadow lightly over your lids to reflect light. I personally love Motives pressed shadow in Bling.

Apply Mascara – Finish off with a coat of mascara to make your lashes appear fuller and rounder, giving your eyes the appearance of being brighter.

Drink Plenty of Water – Hydrate throughout the day for a brighter, fresh appearance.
