I am always looking for energy boosting tips because I am always on the go and sometimes it can be a struggle! Aside from staying well-hydrated and getting enough sleep, other energy boosters come from healthy foods and snacks. Recently, The Biggest Loser trainer Jillian Michaels was quoted in an article for Everyday Health and she explained that your nutrition is a key factor in how much energy you have. In a nutshell, wholesome foods are the way to go – here’s what else I learned from Jillian Michaels’ energy boosting tips!
Jillian Michaels’ 4 Energy Boosting Tips
- A great healthy snack is seeds and nuts. They are filled with protein and healthy fats, which will keep your energy rolling!
- Stop skipping meals. You can keep your blood sugar stable (which means stable energy levels too) if you eat every 3 to 4 hours.
- Choose foods that are high in B vitamins, like eggs, fish, beef and leafy greens. These foods will produce energy by turning carbohydrates into fuel.
- Incorporate foods that are made from whole grains and are high in fiber into your diet.
