Even though summer is still months away, you may live in a humid climate or simply deal with oily skin on a daily basis. There is makeup for oily skin available that will help you battle the shine and keep your makeup looking fresh and clean all day, you just need to find the right tools for you and your skin type. If you are on the market for makeup for oily skin, check out these four products below:
1. Always start with a primer because oily skin tends to have larger pores. Motives Perfecting Face Primer will minimize pores, help your makeup stay on longer and control excess oil with salicylic acid. Sometimes I even use this when I’m not wearing makeup for a soft effect!
2. Use an matte, oil-free foundation. Chanel’s Mat Lumiere Fluide is “perfect for combination skin with a tendency to shine, this oil-free formula delivers a soft, natural matte finish with maximum staying power. Medium coverage looks impeccable and shine-free for up to 12 hours.”
3. If you have combination skin – maybe your t-zone is oily, but the rest of your face feels dry – try a balancing powder. Clinique’s Superbalanced Powder has “technology keeps dry areas comfortable and oily areas less shiny.”
4. Finish with one of my all-time favorites, Motives No More Shine Spray. My makeup is not complete until I’ve sprayed this on my face and I carry it with me for touch-ups throughout the day, especially when I’m in Miami with the humidity!
