Meatless Monday phenomenon has really gained some serious momentum. The Meatless Monday initiative was created by The Monday Campaigns in association with the Johns Hopkins’ Bloomberg School of Public Health. Meatless Monday encourages people to reduce their meat consumption by 15% in order to improve their personal health and the health of our planet. Meatless Monday provides vegetarian recipes while also informing the public on how eliminating meat only once per week can positively affect overall health. According to The Monday Campaigns, “going meatless once a week may reduce your risk of chronic preventable conditions like cancer, cardiovascular disease, diabetes, and obesity. It can also help reduce your carbon footprint and save precious resources like fresh water and fossil fuel.” Will you participate in Meatless Monday?
