A mental cleanse is a full-body cleanse. You want to nourish your body with healing foods and minerals, let your mind rest, and find some peace. Keep reading for my tips on doing an at-home mental cleanse for full-body rejuvenation.

Make a Juice or Smoothie Filled with Nourishing Ingredients.

Add in lots of greens like spinach, kale, and arugula. Then add a hydrating liquid-based ingredient like coconut water or almond milk. Throw in as many other fruits and veggies that you want. Pick a colorful variety, from mangoes to celery to avocado. Lastly, finish off your concoction with some nuts, acai powder, or fresh mint.

Find a Quiet Place to Meditate.

Sit in silence and focus on your breathing. Use an app like Calm to listen to a guided meditation or enjoy the stillness and quiet time to find some peace.

Turn off Your Notifications.

Delete some distracting apps if you need to, or physically turn your phone off to focus on yourself, your thoughts, and your needs. At the very least, turn your phone on airplane mode two hours before bedtime to maximize your relaxation.

Remember That Your “Good Enough” Is Someone Else’s “Perfect.”

Be okay with being “good enough” and realize you don’t always have to be perfect. Learn to let go and prioritize what matters versus what you are controlling just to have something to control.

Have Yourself a Good Cry.

Sometimes you need to cry. After a crying session, I always feel so much better, even if I have a headache. Splash your face with cold water, take some ibuprofen, and then move forward with your life and your day.

Create a Morning Routine.

What relaxes but also invigorates you? Make a list and find time each morning to do those things. Whether it’s jade rolling, meditating, drinking coffee or stretching, find time to devote to yourself daily and calm your mind and get you ready for the day ahead.
