It’s true: So many of us love a good sleeveless top. Perhaps a silky blouse for the office, paired with a simple cardigan or a sparkling LBD for your most anticipated party of the year. Whether it’s 100 degrees or 10 degrees, a sleeveless top or dress can always be paired with a little sweater – making it totally versatile for every day of the year. Only problem: arms. Sometimes in the midst of winter, when your tan starts to fade and you haven’t been out on those daily runs with the dog, your arms get a little soft (and a little bit of self-consciousness sets in). It’s time to change that – we all need arm confidence all year! Check out these exercises for sculpted arms (many of which you can do right at home).
The Best Exercises for Sculpted Arms
- Push-ups – yes, push-ups, you can do it! Start small with just a few each morning to build up your ability.
- Spinning – doesn’t seem like a bike class would focus on arms, right? Well believe it or not, it does! Many classes even include push-ups while you’re on the bike.
- Yoga – This is definitely one of the best exercises for sculpted arms. Think of all those downward dogs (and Madonna)!
- Pilates – While pilates is a whole body workout, it uses many exercises each focused on a different area of the body. Want to pay more attention to your arms? Just tell your instructor!
- Tricep extensions and bicep curls with low weights (2-3 lbs) – These are tougher than you think and will whip those arms right into toned shape.
