At first I was going to title this post “The Lazy Girl” but then I thought, we’re not lazy – we are SMART. Who wants go to the salon and pay for a professional blowout (or spend copious amounts of time doing it yourself) only to repeat the process 24 hours later because your hair has completely deflated? Not me. This is my battle plan for making my blow out last longer, including my number one secret: dry shampoo.
The Smart Girl’s Dry Shampoo Secret
- If you have bangs that get the greasies fast, wash them and yes, you should re-blow dry these few pieces. If this isn’t possible, wear a headband, use bobby pins or do a little bang side braid to keep them off your face to prevent breakouts.
- Mist your roots with a dry shampoo. Dry shampoo is amazing for refreshing your hairstyle – I can’t say enough good things about it! It soaks up the oil, gives you extra volume and usually smells really good.
- Last but not least, curl or straighten the ends for a more polished finished.
And viola! – beautiful hair without starting from scratch.
Do you use dry shampoo? My current favorite is the Ojon Full Detox Dry Cleansing Spray ($13) in the super convenient travel size!
