A lack of solitude, also known as ‘alone time’ can hurt our productivity, relationships, and creativity. Recent studies have proven that ‘me time’ is vital to give yourself space and time to de-stress and rejuvenate.

Me Time: The Importance of Being Alone
Stressful city lifestyles do no favors to our health, happiness or inner peace. Unplugging from the world for a few short blissful minutes or hours is vital for our mental health. Here are my five favorite ways to grab a little me time.
Outdoor coffee.
I love starting my day with stealing a few quiet moments sipping a coffee or freshly pressed juice in my garden.
Pamper yourself.
Facials are so much more than a luxury treat – the artistry of the professional facialist purges the skin of toxins. I love finishing a spa day with a relaxing full body massage.
Take time to read.
Curling up with a great book is one of my cherished ways to unplug from the world.
Bathe away daily stresses.
A long luxurious bath overflowing with bubbles and delicious scents is a great way to wash away the stresses of the day and relax your body, mind, and soul.
Watch your favorite movie.
I find taking a little time out to watch one of my favorite movies is another pleasurable way to withdraw from the world and uplift my spirit.
