Wellness Wednesday reminds us all to take a little time out for ourselves to recharge our brains and our bodies. You likely already realize that I’m a self-confessed workaholic, but I always remember my ‘why.’ When I was working flat out with the Market America team to stamp out those untrustworthy individuals trying to sell SHOP.COM products on third party websites, I was going to bed frequently at 4 AM. Many mornings I still got up at 6 AM to see my little angels. Of course, I was tired, but they’re my ‘why,’ and I never lose sight of that.
Wellness Wednesday: 4 Easy Ways to Relax
There honestly is no place I’d rather be than working in my office strategizing new business ideas or spending those precious quality moments with my closest friends and family.
I live and breathe for my ‘why’ in addition to continually developing the Market America empire. It often feels like there aren’t enough hours in the day, but I prioritize, and I get things done. I rarely take a full day off, so I love these quick three easy ways to relax.
#1 Time to de-tense.
Massage is great for easing stress, reducing muscle tension from sitting over a computer all day, and helping to clear blockages. A 90-minute full body massage gives us time to reboot and come back with fresh eyes and thought strategies. On days where time is tight, you can book a masseuse to come directly to your house – magic!
#2 Pamper time.
Take a long, luxurious bubble bath complete with magnesium flakes. Lie back, relax and feel the stress and tension melt away. Did you know that many established inventors and entrepreneurs praise the bath, or shower, as being the catalyst behind their greatest brainstorming moments?
#3 Time for tea.
There are hundreds of calming natural teas on the market proven to alleviate stress and anxiety – Chamomile Tea and Peppermint Tea are two of my favorites.
#4 Ocean therapy.
Hit the beach to breathe in all of those wonderful negative ions. You’ll feel calmer yet more energized, especially if you take a quick dip in the ocean.
