There’s a proverb that goes something like this: people come into your life for a reason, a season or a lifetime. And throughout my life, that’s proven to be pretty accurate. Sometimes we may not understand why people leave, but if you keep reading, I’ll let you in on a few secrets as to why some people who play a role in your life are only supporting characters in the first act.
Why Not Everyone Who Plays a Role in Your Life Is Supposed to Stay Forever
The Journey of Self-Development Is Never-Ending.
Sometimes a person enters your life for a distinct purpose or reason. Maybe you need a confidence boost, and they help you find your inner radiance so you can share it with the world. And perhaps that was all that person could offer you. But what a gift! Marinate on the gratitude you have for that person for helping you find your sparkle. Don’t dwell on the lack of their presence, because that minimizes the importance of what they taught you.
You Have to Let Go and Forgive Yourself to Move Forward.
Some people who come into your life don’t serve any greater, definite purpose, and therefore they don’t stick around for very long. The universe ultimately has your best interests in mind, so learn to live, love, and let go. Embrace the lessons and move forward in confidence to live your best life.
Pain Is Temporary. Fight Through It.
A person may enter your life for a season, or maybe they even fill up a few chapters of your life. But ultimately, they are bookended by other experiences and people. Don’t dwell on negativity or pain. It will help you grow, but don’t let it break you or dull your sparkle. Let them go.
