Monday Motivation: How Not to Fail Your New Year’s Resolutions
Set milestones within your goals.

If we break down our goals into bitesize pieces, it can be far more motivating when we see ourselves making progress. For example, if your New Year’s Resolution is to lose weight, break that down to lose specific amounts of weight by definite dates. We already know crash diets don’t work, so set realistic landmark weightloss goals to help keep you focused and motivated as you smash each target, one by one.

Seek support.

Whatever your resolutions, consider taking an online course around it to help you keep centered on the task at hand. The more you submerge yourself in your goals, the more likely you are to remain focused.

Commit to your goals.

January is the most significant month of the year for health and fitness products and services, so competition is high. Take advantage of this last week of January discounts and offers. Many gyms and personal trainers are offering impressive discounts or special offers until January 31 to entice you to sign up with them. Many online health and fitness brands will be cashing in on the January rush too, so research your health or fitness products online now for the best deals.

Don’t give up.

If you break your resolutions, don’t be too hard on yourself. One moment of weakness doesn’t eradicate the last few weeks of dedication. Brush yourself off, and start again.
