Congratulations to Britney on her engagement. It seems like just yesterday we watched her explode on to the scene with her hit song, “Hit Me Baby One More Time.” She is now an accomplished artist, living life on her own terms. 1. Britney was born in Kentwood, Louisiana.
2. In 1992, she was cast in The Mickey Mouse Club.
3. She was only 17 years old when she reached number one on the pop charts with, “Baby One More Time.”
4. She starred in the movie Crossroads in 2002 with Zoe Saldana.
5. She has recorded eight albums.
6. Spears was hired for her first professional role as the understudy for the lead role of Tina Denmark in the Off-Broadway musical Ruthless.
7. Britney was originally to be apart of a group called Innosense, but was signed as a solo artist.
8. The second album, Oops…I did it again sold over 20 million copies worldwide.
9. Britney has released two books, Britney Spears Heart-to-Heart in 2000 and A Mother’s Gift in 2001.
10. Britney opened a restaurant in New York called Nyla in 2002 but terminated her relationship months later.
