I believe that we as women are all beautiful, worthy of love and wired for success. No one is perfect. We all have physical and emotional flaws, which is why a particular Men’s Health article on the anatomy of a perfect woman struck me as insensitive and ridiculous. Written by a woman for a male audience, this is not a tongue-in-cheek satire poking fun at society. Aside from the oh-so-obvious (?) perfect woman algorithm in every man’s mind, which the author Madeline Haller describes as “hot + smart + funny = The One,” there are also 11 – count them, 11! – attributes that create “the definitive blueprint for your dream girl.”
Lets count the ways how even scoring a perfect 10 is no longer perfect, shall we?
11 Attributes Every Perfect Woman Must Have
- Chuckles at his bad jokes
- A pretty, white smile
- Large breasts
- Long legs
- Small feet
- An educated, career woman
- Intelligent and successful but not more than he is
- Wearing red
- Brown hair
- Narrow hips
- 2-4 years younger than he is
