The big 3-0 was one of my favorite birthdays. It felt good to reach an age where I was finally over with my 20s. I felt like I knew a little something more than I had before. Are you about to turn 30? If so, happy birthday! You’ve finally reached an age where you feel just a bit wiser. To inspire you, give you some life-lessons and to simply entertain you, I’ve got some movies that’ll teach you just a few more life lessons before you get to your 30th birthday.   1. The Breakfast Club- This movie is all about accepting your individuality. It’s about opening yourself up to learning new lessons. My favorite line? “You ought to spend a little more time trying to make something of yourself and a little less time trying to impress people.”
  2. Moonstruck
  3. Roman Holiday- Gregory Peck, Audrey Hepburn and an adventure of a lifetime with a love story in between. Need I say more?
  4. Clueless
  5. Almost Famous- If there’s one film that can help to inspire you to create, it’s Almost Famous. A young music lover disguises himself as an adult journalist and learns some serious lessons along the way.
  6. Drop Dead Gorgeous
  7. 500 Days of Summer- This seemingly simple boy-meets-girl story doesn’t end the way that you expect it to. Instead, it reminds us that love is fleeting and that maybe we’re better for it in the end.
  8. Legally Blonde
  9. Romy and Michele’s High School Reunion- Best friends need to be cherished! Watch this movie to remind yourself why!
  10. The Outsiders- Reread the book or watch the movie. Either way, stay golden!

  12. Life is Beautiful- This movie taught me to see the good in horrible situations. Everything in this life is about perspective.

  14. Muriel’s Wedding- I love this film! It’s about finding yourself and your strength without the help of a man. Sometimes the fantasy isn’t what you expect it to be!

  16. The Princess Bride- A classic! Watch it solely for its quotable factor. It’s a simple love story, but one that has and will definitely last the test of time.
  17. The Harry Potter Series
  18. Singin’ In The Rain- Singin’ In The Rain is such a fun movie! Watch it to marvel at Gene Kelly’s amazing dance moves.
  19. Bridesmaids
  20. I Am- I Am will remind you that power and worldly possessions are not the way to happiness. Check out this awe-inspiring documentary.
  21. Now and Then
  22. The Way Way Back- This is the quintessential summer coming-of-age story about a kid who learns that the adults surrounding him don’t always have all the answers.
  23. Wild
  24. Dead Poets Society- With Robin Williams at the helm, this film will urge your to feel a passion towards art like no other.
  25. The First Wives Club
  26. The Graduate- A classic. This film is a must-watch for anyone at any age. It’ll definitely make you question “what’s it all for.”
  27. Fried Green Tomatoes
  28. Moonrise Kingdom- Fall in love like the way you did when you were a kid. This film will pull at your heartstrings in the best way possible.
  29. When Harry Met Sally
  30. Steel Magnolias- Moms, daughters and friends navigate life in a small town prone to gossip. It’s a great film. One that’s definitely worth a few watches.
