The countdown is on to Halloween! PSLs are everywhere, and before we know it, the leaves will be changing colors. Whether you like to plan ahead or put something together in a pinch, I’ve got some easy costume ideas for Halloween 2018.
8 Easy Costume Ideas for Halloween 2018
Raven
Rock an all-black outfit and add a gorgeous purple cloak to finish off the look for this DC Comics superheroine.
The Handmaid’s Tale
Find a demure red dress (preferably one with longer sleeves) and fashion yourself a bonnet out of white poster board and ribbon.
Freudian Slip
Pull the sexiest slip dress you own out of your closet and write down some of Freud’s best quotes on note cards, then attach them to your dress.
Social Media Queen
Decorate your own t-shirt with your favorite social media app icons and throw on a tulle skirt fit for a queen. Add a crown, and you’re officially Instagram-ready.
Deviled Egg
Cut a yellow yolk out of felt (or any other yellow material you have on hand) and secure to a white minidress. Throw on a red cape and horns for good measure, and you’re a cute little deviled egg.
Black Swan
Wear your most bedazzled black dress (or a sparkly black leotard if you have one!) and break out your dramatic eyeliner skills to paint glamorous wings over your eyes.
No Scrubs
If you’re into puns and comfort, find a pair of scrubs and draw a big circle with a line through it on your chest to be the hit TLC song “No Scrubs.”
Paper Doll
This one’s a cinch if you’re even the tiniest bit creative. Grab a few sheets of poster board in the color you want your outfit to be and draw the outline with a thick black marker. Cut out your creation with scissors and attach to a simple dress. Be sure to add accessories like a paper purse and bow for head-to-toe doll vibes.
