Oscar dress trend is white. The women and men of Hollywood looked fabulous at last nights 84th Annual Academy Awards, don’t you think? If you were following me on Twitter last night, you know that one of my favorite things to do is to watch the red carpet show beforehand and scope out the year’s hottest trends and styles. There was definitely a standout color trend amongst the gorgeous gowns—white.
Celebrities from Gwyneth Paltrow to Rooney Mara to my girl Jennifer Lopez were all sporting gorgeous white and sheer dresses during the Academy Awards, adding a touch of old Hollywood glamour to the occasion that I just loved.
- Gwyneth Paltrow in Tom Ford white cape dress—not a fan of the cape though.
- Octavia Spencer in a Ivory Tadashi Shoji gown.
- I loved the white on these beautiful ladies but I can’t resist color too—here are some other dresses that I thought were just stunning: Michelle Williams was fabulous in coral-red Louis Vuitton – loved that delicate bow and the peplum waist.
- Loved Penelope Cruz in this blue-gray Armani Privé.
- Angelina Jolie was definitely on my best dressed list – she (and her leg) stole the show in this black Versace gown.
