If you missed the headlines capturing some of the best winning speeches, the news is everywhere – and, it’s pretty fun to get caught up. Here are a few highlights according to Entertainment Weekly of the awesome women who took the stage. And, for the full scoop – you can read the whole article here.

Jennifer Lawrence, winner of Best Actress in a Comedy (Joy) spent most of her time “thanking David O. Russell for allowing her to act as his muse. ‘Every time I’m up here it’s because of you,” she said. ‘Thank you for choosing me, thank you for your brilliance, thank you for teaching me so much professionally, personally,’ Lawrence continued, adding, ‘David, I love you, I want us to be buried next to each other, I really do,’ before hurrying off the stage, Globe in hand.”

Rachel Bloom, winner of Best Actress for a Musical or Comedy (Crazy Ex-Girlfriend) delivered a heartfelt and emotional speech: “She spoke of how hard it was to get her project on screen — ‘We got six rejections in a day,’ she recalled — and went on to thank her co-creator Aline Brosh McKenna and crew, before the music began. At the last second, Bloom punched the air, Judd Nelson-style, capping off a win in true Rebecca Bunch fashion.

Taraji P. Henson, winner of Best Actress in a TV Drama (Empire) was in such shock when her name was called that her first instinct was to “grab a handful of cookies and passed them out to costars.” It took her a little longer to make it up to the stage, but once she arrived she was ready for every moment of the spotlight, telling the cameras, “‘Please wrap up’? I’ve been waiting 20 years for this,” she said, brandishing her trophy. “You gon’ wait.”

I was so particularly moved by Taraji P. Henson who gave such a heartfelt interview with Al Roker after her big win (Best Actress in a TV Series, Drama). Here’s the video of that special moment:
