It’s official! Britney Spears is the new X Factor judge! US Weekly has confirmed that Britney Spears will be joining Simon Cowell and L.A Reid on the new season of The X Factor. The new addition is all a part of a new directional change for the show after the firing of Nicole Scherzinger and Paula Abdul last season. The X Factor creator Simon Cowell has hopes that these new changes will garner competitive ratings with the popular American Idol and The Voice. However, critics have questioned if the newly-engaged pop princess has the ability to be a serious X Factor judge with her southern roots and laid back personality. Sources close to her say that she is excited and ready to show the world that she can do this! I think Britney will surprise us all and bring a different element to the judges’ table. There are also rumors that X Factor judge offers have been made to Mariah Carey, Beyonce, Miley Cyrus, and Demi Lovato. The X Factor is taking some very interesting turns!
