Red Nose Day was started by Comic Relief, a charity based in the UK trying to drive out poverty around the world through entertainment.
Everything You Need to Know About Red Nose Day
Since its launch in 1988, Red Nose Day has become something of a British institution, that’s now become almost a worldwide holiday. It’s the day, every two years when people across the world can get together and do something funny for money at home, school, and work.

As red nose day approaches, Comic Relief encourages people to buy red noses at Walgreens to go “Nose to Nose” to raise awareness and funds to help children in need.
