It’s all in a life’s work, they say. You strive to be the best you can be and feel blessed to be able to do so; when something magical and humbling happens, you get recognized for your work. I will say one thing, nothing makes me happier than inspiring others. For me success came in a form of a vision and through hard work. Failure simply wasn’t an option. I wanted to create a better world for my daughter and I wanted to touch as many lives as I could in my lifetime.
When I was asked to speak at the Behind the Bench‘s annual conference, I was absolutely thrilled. It is an organization that is close to my heart. Formed by the “NBA Wives Associaltion,” many of whom I know personally, it is a non-profit comprised of wifes and fiances of current and retired NBA players. What they do and do so well is raise money and devote their time to helping charities.
Tomorrow I will be speaking to these inspiring women on the topic of building an empire. I will later be honored with the “Buildling An Empire Award” at a fundraising/charity event that will raise money for a very worthy cause. What an amazing feeling to be part of something like this. I am grateful and excited at the same time and I look forward to spending the day with these lovely ladies and sharing my photos and recap with all of you. xoxo
