Texas native Jamie Foxx is putting his money where his mouth is. He recently announced he would be donating $25,000 to GlobalGiving.org to benefit Hurricane Harvey Relief Fund. But the “Baby Driver star didn’t stop there! He also announced he will take part in a telethon on September 12 to assist in raising even more money.

TMZ reported that the telethon will take place in three cities: Los Angeles, New York and Nashville. A lot of big name stars have already been announced as participants. They include Reese Witherspoon and Blake Shelton from Nashville, Foxx and Hilary Duff from Los Angeles and Houston-native Michael Strahan from New York City.
There are many other Houston-born stars that are part of a wish list including Beyonce and her “Destiny’s Child” bandmate Kelly Rowland as well as “Big Bang Theory” star Jim Parsons. Beyonce’s sister Solange announced her own benefit show will be held at Boston’s Orpheum Theater on September 28.
So proud of everyone getting involved. We rally for you, Texas. The hurricane has been devastating, and you’ve been in our hearts and prayers ever since. I’m proud to see so many of my friends trying to help raise money for those affected by the hurricane. This is so special.
