If you’re a fan of the show Power, you’ll be excited to know that my girl La La Anthony will be reprising her role as LaKeisha. The news was shared recently along with a confirmation that the series will return in 2016 for its third season. Last season, the show garnered high enough ratings to also earn Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson a two-year deal with Starz to allow him to develop other projects for the network, so there may be more to see from the Executive Producer.

But Power is not the only project La La has been working on. La La is also appearing as medical examiner Delina Michaels on the A&E crime drama Unforgettable alongside Poppy Montgomery, Dylan Walsh, and James Hiroyuki Liao. The series airs Friday nights.
And lastly, another one of La La’s upcoming projects is Chi-Raq, “a modern day adaptation of the ancient Greek play Lysistrata by Aristophanes, set against the backdrop of gang violence in Chicago,” which she announed on Instagram very recently. The film, directed by Spike Lee, will be released December 4th and stars an incredible cast including Nick Cannon, Teyonah Parris, Wesley Snipes, Jennifer Hudson, Angela Bassett, John Cusack, and Samuel L. Jackson.
