Both a well-known actress and comedian, Melissa McCarthy’s been dabbling in the fashion world and everyone is pretty excited about it. Officially set to launch the first of September, McCarthy recently debuted her new clothing line, Melissa McCarthy Seven7. Loaded with fun prints of animals and hearts, the line is also pretty heavy on black and white and is boasting lots of pockets. Ranging in sizes from 4 to 28, shoppers can expect to see the pieces at Lane Bryant, Macy’s, Nordstrom, HSN and her website.
As reported by People, McCarthy’s line also includes denim. The actress revealed she used to be “completely against” jeans, but recently jumped on the bandwagon. “One of the best parts of a woman’s body is that curve, and I go a little bit higher on all of my things to show off the best part of the hourglass.”

She also recently told Vogue, “It’s always what I thought I would do. I went into clothing and textiles in college and moved here with [designer] Brian Atwood. I was going to finish at FIT and he made me do stand-up on the second night.”

With price points that all come in under $150, McCarthy says, “The fun of it is you should be able to put these things together and not have to make a choice about going out to dinner or getting the sweater. Wear the sweater to dinner.”
