There’s no avoiding the headlines of Prince’s sad and untimely death one week ago – it’s such a loss for the entertainment industry and anyone who loved him – from family to fans. If anyone knew how to put on a good show – it was Prince – and he’s been a superstar and an icon for a lifetime.
According to CNN, Prince died Thursday, April 21st, after he was found unresponsive in an elevator at his studios in Chanhassen, Minnesota. He was 57 years old. Just days after a rock solid performance in Atlanta, the news of his death surfaced. Although it’s still under investigation, it has shocked and saddened the world. He touched hearts and minds around the globe with a lifelong performance career no one will soon forget.
As we remember Prince for his vision and his music, tributes to this great man are flooding the web and social media:
Via Justin Timberlake: “They say don’t meet your idols… That they let you down. But, some of my greatest, funniest (yes, he was hilarious), and most prolific encounters and conversations about music came from the moments that I spent with him. It would be silly to say that he has inspired our music… It’s beyond that. He’s somewhere within every song I’ve ever written. “
Via Madonna: “He Changed The World!! A True Visionary. What a loss. I’m Devastated. This is Not A Love Song.”
