Summer lovin’ happened so fast! Romance is extra fun in the summertime. Here are 5 of my favorite fun date night ideas (or day date) to explore with your honey.
Summer Lovin’: Fun Date Night Ideas
1. Go for a Drive: Roll the windows down, pick up some milkshakes or cold sodas and crank up the tunes. Drive around town singing at the top of your lungs like you’re 17 again. Bonus points if you splurge and rent a convertible for the day!
2. Take a Sunset Hike: Nothing beats the mountains in summer. Lace up your hiking boots, don’t forget your sunscreen and some homemade trail mix and make sure to time your hike so that you can see the sunset over the best lookout point. There is nothing more romantic than a summer sunset.
3. Have a Picnic While Listening to Live Music: Is there anything better than wine, food, and music all at the same time? I’m going to answer that for you – nope! Find a local music event at the park and pack a picnic basket with some pre-mixed cocktails or get some lawn tickets for your favorite band, bring a blanket and enjoy some cold refreshments from the venue.
4. Head to the Farmers Market, Then Cook Together: Wake up early on a Saturday and head to the local farmers market for the best local produce, meats, bread, and goods around. Take things one step further by cooking a meal together. The kitchen is a place for culinary exploration and gives you the perfect chance to have fun, eat some delicious food and share something meaningful together.
5. Have a Movie Marathon: Everyone knows that the first movie in a series is always the best one, but why not watch all of the “Harry Potter” films in one day – just because? Find a movie series you both love, make some popcorn and pour the wine, then snuggle up together under a cozy blanket for a day-long movie marathon.
