The NCLR Alma Awards took place on October 10th, a night dedicated to celebrating and honoring the achievements made by the American Latino community in their contributions to television, music, and film. The star-studded awards evening, which took place just in time for National Hispanic Heritage Month, brought some of the biggest names in entertainment together for a sparkling event hosted by Eva Longoria and Mario Lopez. As is expected, the attendees were looking their absolute best. Here’s a look at some of the most stunning red carpet looks at the 2014 Alma Awards.
As host of the Alma Awards, Eva Longoria displayed quite a few outfits, all of which made a huge impact. She has a classic, effortlessly elegant style, so I’ve featured three of my favorite looks from her various wardrobe changes. That yellow gown in particular is truly a standout piece by my talented friend Bibhu Mohapatra. A girl can never have too many dresses!!
Below, Daisy Fuentes wears a timeless black dress with white print details. The look is simple, chic, and easy to wear. I’m a big fan of this look. Sometimes, less is more.
Judy Reyes opted for a more whimsical look on the Alma Awards red carpet and I think it works for her. The sheer bottom adds and interesting touch.
Edy Ganem from Devious Maids sparkled in a sheer forest green gown with stud detailing. This was a definite showstopper.
Alexa Peña Vega wore a beautifully simple plum gown that’s perfect for fall. The rich hue makes her complexion glow.
Aubrey Plaza wore a fun, colorful artistic number and it really works well with her otherwise simple styling and youthful demeanor. Great choice.
And, of course, Zoe Saldana was absolutely glowing with that beautiful baby bump in a bright silky ensemble.
