As we move into the second month of 2017, Netflix is preparing to release a great number of new content. The most highly anticipated debuts will feature Drew Barrymore in her first TV role in The Santa Clarita Diet, premiering on February 3rd. Barrymore (Sheila Hammond) stars alongside Timothy Olyphant (Joel Hammond) as husband and wife realtors who live in the L.A. suburb of Santa Clarita with their daughter Abby (played by Liv Hewson). Life has gotten pretty stale for the family but then something happens to Sheila that changes everything.
Sheila’s secret has been kept extremely private until now. It seems that the matriarch has become a zombie and craves human flesh! Neither her husband or daughter have suffered the same fate, but because they love her they will help her stay alive.
Get your dancing shoes on because David Brent is back! The zany character, who found international fame on the original version of The Office, made his big screen debut in the U.K. in the film David Brent: Life on the Road and now it’s coming to America via Netflix. Watch as David takes one last shot at becoming a touring rock star starting February 10th.
Now that you’re in a partying mood, get ready for another famous name that’s debuting on Netflix with a variety special this month. Michael Bolton, who was famous in the ‘90s as much for his beautiful singing voice as his long flowing hair, has a special airing just in time for Valentine’s Day. Michael Bolton’s Big Sexy Valentine’s Day Special is set to premiere on February 7th and will feature guest appearances by Sarah Silverman, Fred Armisen, Maya Rudolph, Casey Wilson, Chris Parnell, Eric Andre, Michael Sheen and Randall Park.
