Fun Recipes for Your Football Party This Weekend

Hello, football fans! I know many of you have been waiting for this weekend to arrive to support your team, and enjoy some tasty snacks while doing so. Fun Recipes for Your Football Party This Weekend

Fluffernutter Cupcakes

Makes 12 cupcakes

Ingredients:

¼ cup butter, softened

¾ cup Skippy® creamy peanut butter

½ cup granulated sugar

1 large egg

2 teaspoons vanilla extract

1¼ cup all-purpose flour

½ teaspoon kosher salt

1 teaspoon baking powder

? cup whole milk

12 unwrapped bite-sized milk chocolate covered, peanut-caramel-nougat candies

Directions:

Heat oven to 350°F.

In large mixing bowl, beat together butter and peanut butter until smooth. Gradually add sugar and beat 1 minute. Add egg and vanilla extract and beat until incorporated.

In small bowl, combine flour, salt and baking powder. Add flour mixture alternately with milk, starting and ending with flour mixture, until incorporated. Spoon batter into 12 lined muffin-tin cups. Press 1 candy piece on top of each batter filled cup.

Bake 25 minutes. Cool completely on wire rack.

Frosting

¼ cup butter, softened

¼ cup Skippy® creamy peanut butter

2 cups powdered sugar

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

11/3 cup marshmallow cream

11/2 tablespoons milk

In large bowl, beat together butter and peanut butter until smooth. Gradually add powdered sugar and vanilla extract, beating until blended. Add marshmallow cream and milk until smooth. Place mixture in plastic zip-top bag. Cut one corner of bag and squeeze frosting onto cupcakes.

 

Shrimp and Pimiento Cheese Grits Bites

(Makes 32 pieces)

Ingredients:

1 cup corn grits

2 ounces Cheddar cheese, shredded

? teaspoon kosher salt

? teaspoon Cajun seasoning

? pound cooked medium shrimp, chopped

1 (4-ounce) jar diced pimientos, drained

1 tablespoon hot sauce

1 cup Hormel? bacon pieces

1 cup chopped green onions

3 large eggs, divided

1 cup water

2 cups dried breadcrumbs

Canola oil for frying

Directions: Cook grits in 3 1/2 cups water according to package directions. Stir in next 8 ingredients and 1 lightly beaten egg. Spread mixture evenly in lightly greased baking pan. Refrigerate 4 hours or up to 24 or until completely set. Run a rubber spatula around edges and flip onto cutting board. Cut into 11/2-inch squares.

Heat oil to 325F in Dutch oven.

Football Pepperoni Pizza

Ingredients:

1 (8-ounce) can refrigerated classic pizza crust

½ cup pizza sauce

2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese

1 (8-ounce) package Hormel Original Pepperoni

1 stick mozzarella string cheese

¼ cup fresh parsley, chopped

Directions:

  1. Heat oven to 425°F. Spray cookie sheet with cooking spray and unroll dough on cookie sheet. Press dough into 14×12-inch rectangle and bake 7 minutes.
  2. Spread pizza sauce over pizza crust; sprinkle with cheese. Place pepperoni in football shape on the center of pizza. Pull apart string cheese lengthwise into thin strips. To make football laces, place 1 long strip horizontally on center of football. Cut cheese into 5 pieces; arrange vertically on top of horizontal strip. Sprinkle surrounding cheese with parsley, as desired.
  3. Bake pizza 10 to 12 minutes or until cheese is melted and pepperoni is crisp.

 

Chili Cheese Dip

Ingredients:

1(15-ounce) can Hormel Chili No Beans

1 (1-pound) package pasteurized prepared cheese products cut into ½ inch cubes

Directions:

In a medium microwave-safe bowl, stir together chili and cheese products; cover. Microwave on HIGH; stirring once, 4 ½ to 5 minutes or until hot and cheese is melted. Serve with corn chips, if desired.

 

Chips and Dips

Ingredients:

1 can of Chi-Chi’s Salas

1 bags of Chi-Chi’s Tortilla Chips

2 packages of Wholly Guacamole

Directions:

Open packages and place in individual serving bowls

 

Barbecue Ribs

Ingredients:

1-2 packages of Lloyd’s Seasoned & Smoked Babyback Ribs in Original BBQ Sauce

Directions:

  1. Heat charcoal or gas grill. Cut 2 large sheets of heavy-duty* foil twice the length of the ribs, and place on top of each other. Spray top sheet of foil with cooking spray.
  2. Remove ribs from package and place on center of foil. Spread sauce over ribs, or save for later. Pull foil around ribs, leaving a 1-inch gap in center.
  3. Place on grilling rack at the coolest portion of the grill. Cover grill and heat 15 to 20 minutes** or until hot (watch carefully to avoid burning).

*You can use 4 sheets of regular foil placed on top of each other instead of heavy-duty foil.

**Thicker ribs may take up to 10 minutes longer.

Directions: Open and serve
