“Give and you will receive!” I’m sure most of you have probably heard this statement so many times that it now falls into the category of “cliché!” Truth be told, this very cliché phrase holds lots of truth! Giving is very simple, yet it is one of the most difficult things for human beings. We often think of the act of giving as something that takes away from what we have but its really not. The great thing about giving is that if done from the heart, it allows the channels of receiving aka blessings to flow into each of our lives.
In most cases, when an individual hears the word “give,” the mind immediately goes to thinking material possessions. While giving material things are great, this is the least important form of giving. Giving someone your ear, a shoulder to lean on, support, or a kind word are just of few of the most important forms of giving! Take a moment and think about a successful person that you admire the most. I can almost guarantee you that this person is a giver.
It’s in the act of giving that makes you rich. Just like an apple seed that produces apples, when you plant seeds in others you will reap a harvest from your giving. Doors will begin to open for you and your life will finally have valued meaning. Take note and get into the habit of being a giver. Don’t look for a reward, just give. I promise you will thank me later!
