As soon as we entered the parking lot I noticed the energy. Herd s of happy shiny people crossing Biscayne Boulevard about dawn. It was like they knew something everyone else didn’t. Out of thousands of smiling faces, I was taken to a VIP check in immediately. “Someone will be right over to escort you, Miss Roman”. How lovely I thought. We walked right passed Loren getting hair & makeup, passed the media & production crews, and proudly through that curtain by the stage onto the floor of the American Airlines Arena.
I knew I saw life differently from my early days. Back then you could catch me riding my pink big wheel down our row home lined street, properly accessorized in a hat and sunglasses. If not out cruising, I was in a meeting with the kids up our block, managing several of my elementary operations such as porch- to-porch book sales or making custom hand made feather pens to sell to our classmates.
My name is Joan Roman and I m an entrepreneur, with a thing for writing. Faithfully, as soon as I wake, I drink French vanilla coffee out of a ridiculously over sized blue mug. I now prefer purple to pink and traded in my big wheel for a Mac Book. I still love hats with sunglasses but have added pearls and headpieces with feathers to my collection. I recognize that the majority of society survives via their overwhelming amount of plans. I prefer to live in the now, while I observe the plan making society attempt to figure me out.
Attending my first Market America conference was like stepping out of the ice into the sun, both figuratively & literally. My world is now much clearer. One of the most exhilarating parts of the conference was being in an arena with 27,000 like – minded people. A crucial element to achieving success is surrounding your self with those that are successful. My current circle instantaneously expanded to an army, making the future s possibilities feel endless.
I did what anyone would do during a monumental moment like this one…I took a picture and posted it to my facebook account stating “The new fam”. Almost immediately a comment reads “Are they ALL coming to Easter dinner?” I thought to myself, we are going to need a bigger house.
Loren, this blog space, and the entire Market America mission is a journey towards everlasting personal freedom. A proclamation of economic reinvention and another opportunity to bask in the glory of self made success. I look forward to sharing my stories with you… for the most precious asset in life is the ability to interact with it.
Thank U Loren, for having me in your world.
