After all that holiday eating, all I think about is burning
it off! Luckily, Miami just became the new home to New York-based SoulCycle, a
40-minute, full-body workout said to burn 500-700 calories. Known for its
motivational instructors and candlelight rides, the spinning exercise found a
space on the third floor of the swanky Mondrian South Beach hotel. With stunning views of the
Atlantic Ocean, Biscayne Bay and downtown Miami, it’s not a bad place to sweat!
Occupying over 1,200 square feet designed exclusively for SoulCycle, SOULCYCLE
SOUTH BEACH will feature a 30-bike studio with state-of-the-art equipment and
will house SoulCycle’s signature workout—an intense 45-minute cardio workout.
The studio will also feature the wildly popular SOULCYCLE BOUTIQUE, a collection
of apparel—both private label and SoulCycle’s own original clothing line—which
are available for purchase online and at all studio locations. All SOULCYCLE
SOUTH BEACH classes are priced at $32 per class and also include complementary
bottled water and towels. In addition, all SOULCYCLE SOUTH BEACH riders will
have access to a special reduced parking rate of $5. Miami riders can expect
the same SoulCycle New York look, feel and experience, from the mantra on the
wall right down to the gum at the front desk – no detail will be overlooked in
the new Miami based studio.
Since 2006, busy New Yorkers have been flocking to SoulCycle to release stress,
burn fat, tone muscle, improve aerobic endurance and change their bodies, FAST.
Now Florida residents and visitors can do the same. SoulCycle combines a mental
component of inspirational coaching, with great music and a FULL-BODY WORKOUT
on the bike. Not only do Riders burn calories, get an intense 45-minute cardio
workout, but using the SoulCycle® Method, they simultaneously tone their upper
bodies using hand weights and do core exercises. Cyclists ride in candlelight,
with a life-size black and white mural of an open road behind them.
SoulCyclists are treated to the country’s best instructors and staff—trained to
deliver unique services and personal attention to all levels of riders. And
SoulCycle has an easy, hassle-free online reservation system and a PDA
reservation system.
Co-founded by Elizabeth Cutler and Julie Rice, SoulCycle opened its first location
in the heart of New York City’s Upper West Side in April 2006 and has taken
NYC, the Hamptons and Westchester by storm. SoulCycle’s studios attract
everyone from editors, celebrities and socialites to outdoor cyclists and
fitness enthusiasts. Brooke Shields, Kelly Ripa, Anderson Cooper, Jeff Probst,
Kyra Sedgwick, Edie Falco, Katie Lee, Tory Burch, Kevin Bacon and Jane Krakowski
are just a few of the familiar faces in the studio.
