Savannah is a Southern city like no other. It’s full of charm and beautiful homes, along with a rich history. It’s one of the most haunted cities in the US, sure, but that shouldn’t be your only reason to visit. Savannah is the city for you and you should absolutely visit this beautiful Southern city. The Paris Market- The Paris Market is your one-stop-shop for everything gorgeous and eclectic. The store’s owner Paula Danyluk, wanted to bring together a store full of knick knacks inspired by her own travels. Although, don’t think this store is just a high-end version of a flea market. It’s a stylized with beautiful products in stock. It’s a must visit.
Flannery O’Connor’s Childhood Home- If you’re less interested in shopping and more curious about the history and sites, then check out writer Flannery O’Connor’s childhood home. She lived in Savannah from her birth until 1938. Explore where she got all the inspiration for her creepy Southern Gothic stories and discover a piece of literary history.
Mrs. Wilkes- With five stars and 607 reviews on Yelp, you’ve got to expect this restaurant to be good. Mrs. Wilkes’ menu focuses on Southern fare while the décor makes you feel like you’re in a cozy Southern Inn. You might have to wait in line, but it’s totally worth it.
The Gryphon Tea Room- The Gyphon Tea Room was once a turn of the century pharmacy. It’s a relaxing and unique place to enjoy some tea after a long day of seeing the sights and enjoying Savannah. Remember, that they only serve during teatime so be sure to make it between 4-6PM.
