6 Ways to Help Increase Your Chances of Getting Pregnant

There has been some serious baby fever this year! My beautiful friend, Kim Kardashian, welcomed baby Chicago into the world earlier this year, followed by my other bestie, and Kim’s sister, Khloe Kardashian. Khloe gave birth to an equally gorgeous baby girl, True in April. My other sister, Eva Longoria, will be giving birth any day now. For every baby blessing this year, there are likely many more women trying to get pregnant. Here are a few tips on how to help increase your chances of getting pregnant naturally.

6 Ways to Help Increase Your Chances of Getting Pregnant

#1. Book in for a check-up.

You’ve decided you’re ready to try for a baby, so what’s the first step? Book an appointment with your doctor to make sure that you’re in good physical health. Experts advise it is essential not to be over or underweight, as both have harmful effects on fertility and pregnancy.

#2. Quit bad habits.

It’s important to give up habits that could affect your fertility. Medical professionals advise quitting smoking, alcohol, and caffeine.

#3. Hit the gym.

Exercising three to four times a week significantly increases your chances to conceive naturally and helps support a healthy pregnancy.

#4. Download an ovulation app.

One of the solutions to getting pregnant quicker is knowing when you are ovulating. Download an ovulation app to simplify the process of understanding when you’re ovulating. Many apps will include an ovulation calendar to help you identify your fertility window.

#5. Eat clean!

Nutrition is directly related to both conception and healthy pregnancies. Eat plenty of vegetables, whole grains, fatty acids like salmon, protein, zinc-rich foods like eggs and beans, and fruits. As folic acid is such a critical nutrient for healthy fetal development, experts recommend that women start getting the required amounts while still in the conception phase. Vitamin C helps trigger ovulation, so snack on lots of fruits. Vitamin B6 found in eggs, salmon, peanuts, and bananas play a vital role in supporting the production of the female sex hormone. Cut back on the amount of red meat and soy products you consume.

#6. Hydrate!

Drink plenty of fresh water daily to help flush out toxins and support healthy organ function.
