Did you watch the American Music Awards this weekend? I did! I had to check out all the gorgeous gowns, outfits, and celebrity beauty looks. Luckily for me, the event was chock-full of fun, gorgeous looks. One look that specifically stood out to me was Bella Thorne’s voluminous deconstructed waves complete with some hair glitter. It made her outfit stand out on the AMA’s red carpet. Check her out below!
Celebrity hairstylist, Toni Chavez, created Bella’s hair look for the event and she’s got some helpful tips to recreate this gorgeous hair look at home! If you’re interested in learning how to get his look at home, read on and let me know what you think in the comments!
- I used Matrix Waterless Dry Shampoo and Matrix Vavoom Mousse at Bella’s roots to give texture and add volume at the root.
- Then I used the T3 Featherweight Dryer and her roots to create more volume. I achieved this by blowdrying them straight up.
- I then did a barrel curl set, using a T3 1inch Clip Iron.
- After brushing that out, Bella decided she wanted a more deconstructed look so I used a much smaller iron to give her hair even more texture throughout the hair style.
- I spaced the smaller curls throughout her hair. We then finished with Lemonhead Blue Glitter Paste near her hairline for even more of a wow factor. The effect gave her look some deconstructed, rock & roll textured curls and waves.
