JLo is taking a stand on equality and she’s definitely making that clear in her music video premiere of “Ain’t Your Mama.” In the music video, my friend sends a clear message to everyone about female equality. I’m so proud of her for having the strength and confidence to share something that rings true to so many women.
In the video, JLo dons a series of different looks from different decades. In one scene, she’s wearing a poodle skirt as a 50s housewife, and in the next she’s rocking shoulder pads as a career woman whose hard work gets credited to men. Finally, JLo rockets us back into the 21st century in the coolest pair of boots you’ve ever seen. That’s probably because they’re a piece from Rihanna’s collection with Manolo Blahnik. A few weeks ago JLo posted the sweet Instagram picture below.
The note in the picture reads “To The Baddest, Because I know you’re gonna wear them better than me!!! From: badgalriri.” Fast forward to the premiere of “Ain’t Your Mama” and JLo shows off all her curves in these “sick ass boots” and looks fabulous while doing so. Just check her out below.
It’s rare that we see two female celebrities show each other love in the media these days.
