The Gilmore Girls revival, Gilmore Girls: A Year In The Life, made its official premiere on Netflix on November 25 to plenty of fanfare. Were you a fan of the early 2000s show? Amber used to watch it nonstop! This time around, I was curious so I took a look, and I must say, it’s a great show full of character, humor, and a lot of pop culture references. I also loved the fashion! It fit the show to perfection. From Rory’s professional outfits to Emily’s classic beaded jackets. It’s a fun show full of fun looks. Below, I’ve got some of my favorite looks from the show. Check them out below and let me know what you think in the comments section! (Spoilers are ahead, ladies).
Emily’s Knit Jacket Outfit-I love this outfit because it’s a reflection on Emily’s growth. In the revival, she’s less focused on parties and meetings and more about what makes her happy, and her style reflects that. Instead of those stuck up beaded jackets we’re used to seeing her in, she’s aiming for more flowy silhouettes like the jacket below!
Rory’s Floral Top- Rory’s always had a classic style so it’s no surprise that her style is similar in the revival. No edgy looks for Rory. Instead, she experiments with color and flirty silouettes! Just check out the top below!
Lorelai’s Winter Gear- It’s no secret that Lorelai loves winter. She’s all about the crisp air and the cold weather—not to mention the snow. It’s almost no surprise that her winter look would be so chic. Her pink coat and blue puffy hat are perfectly covetable! I love this look.
Paris’ Power Blazer- Paris wears her personality on her sleeve, which is why she’s rocking this no-nonsense power blazer. It’s all about that serious yet feminine silhouette for Paris!
Luke Classic Cap- Sure, his dusty old cap may not make Luke the fashion plate of the show, but he’s got a classic staple he loves. Who can argue with that?
