The Met Gala brought every celebrity and some to the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s annual event. This year’s theme was ‘Manus vs Machina: Fashion in The Age of Technology,’ bringing us lots of futuristic looking gowns and tech-inspired dresses. It’s one of fashion’s biggest nights so you know my eyes were peeled as each dress made its way up those famous Met steps. Below, I’ve got some of my favorite looks from the evening. Check them out and be sure to let me know what you think in the comments section.
Claire Danes’ Zac Posen dress may not seem like much on the red carpet, but once the actress got inside, it was evident that her gown was full of super vibrant LED lights.
Nicole Kidman stunned in her celestial Alexander McQueen dress. It’s so detailed and ethereal. This dress gives off an ‘old world vibe,’ which I love.
Zandaya looks breathtaking in her gold Michael Kors Collection dress. She’s really playing up that futuristic vibe with her hair. This girl has always got her look on point.
Emma Watson is really going for some unique looks this year. I honestly can’t complain. To this year’s Met Gala, the actress and feminist activist wore a deconstructed Calvin Klein Collection corset and pants ensemble complete with a train and zipper detailing. She’s doing her own thing and it’s definitely paying off.
Nicki Minaj wore a leather and sheer black Moschino dress to the event. It’s a unique dress that fits with the Met Gala’s theme. I definitely give her and Moschino props for this look.
After last year’s ‘nude dress’ reveal, everyone was dying to see what Queen B would wear to this year’s Met Gala. Beyoncé opted for a nude latex Givenchy gown with pearl detailing. Another showstopper!
My beautiful friend, Kim Kardashian wore a super sparkly Balmain number. The futuristic look definitely fit the night’s theme. Check out that dress! It shows off all her gorgeous curves.
Kylie Jenner also rocked Balmain gown to her first Met Gala. She showed off a sweet bob along with her stunning dress on the red carpet.
My girl La La Anthony wore a firey Nicolas Jerban gown to the event along with some Motives for La La makeup. Her fierce look definitely makes a statement in my book.
Rita Ora looked like a phoenix rising from the ashes in her silver Vera Wang dress. This dress makes for one of my favorites of the night.
As the Met Gala co-chair, you know that Taylor Swift had to dress according to theme. She wore a silver mini dress by Louis Vuitton complete with knee high strappy sandals and her new ‘do.
