Meghan Markle: Duchess of Sussex, the former actress of “Suits” fame, and trendsetter extraordinaire. When she wears something, people pay attention, and whatever she is wearing – be it a bold patterned dress, a statement ring or a fabulous pair of shoes – is going to sell out. And that was even before she became a member of the British royal family. Hello, sartorial splendor!
Sartorial Splendor: Meghan Markle
After her May 19th wedding to Prince Harry she has been seen primarily wearing more muted, neutral tones like beige, olive, blush, and cream, and she received some flak for being so conservative with her fashion choices.
But on July 5th at the Commonwealth Secretariat’s Youth Leadership Workshop, held in London, which she attended with her husband, she upped the ante on her style game and made a huge sartorial statement once again.

Hello, Yellow!
Markle radiated in a bright canary yellow Brandon Maxwell mid-calf sheath dress. The American designer is known for his feminine, glamorous and timeless pieces that are tailored to perfection on a woman’s body, as exemplified by the dress of his that Markle wore. The elegant silhouette of the dress showed off Markle’s perfectly toned arms, and the happy yellow color made her absolutely glow. And it goes without saying that the dress has already sold out.

With a statement dress such as this one, Markle hit the accents and accessories (or lack thereof) out of the park by wearing pointy beige pumps, simple, nude nails, and a pulled back, center part chignon (along with her stunning engagement ring and wedding band, of course).
With the “Markle sparkle” in back in full effect, I am predicting that canary yellow will be the go-to “it girl” color of the summer season. Bright yellow is a beautiful color on medium to darker toned and olive skin, but anyone can wear yellow; try out a few shades to find the right match for your eyes and skin. If you feel beautiful and it makes you glow, you’ve picked the perfect yellow.
