Princess Diana’s Niece Dusted Off the Spencer Bridal Tiara

Princess Diana was known for her style. Her most iconic looks seemed always seem to include a crown. It all started in 1981 when she wore her first tiara to her wedding. A crown lovingly dubbed, the Spencer Tiara. It has been worn publicly by various members of the Spencer family over the years, though not since Princess Di’s passing. That is, until this weekend. If you’ve seen my recent posts on Meghan Markle, then you know that she and Prince Harry attended the wedding of Celia McCorquodale, Princess Diana’s niece.

McCorquodale married George Woodhouse at the St. Andrew and St. Mary’s Church in Stoke Rochford, England on Sunday, in front of an audience that included Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. She wore a princess-style lace gown, which she topped off with the Spencer headpiece. See her gorgeous bridal look below.

In royal tradition, a bride will usually wear a tiara from her own family’s collection on her wedding day and will begin borrowing from their husband’s once they’re married.

The gorgeous crown has been worn by several of the Spencer women on their wedding day since 1919 when it was given to Princess Diana’s grandmother as a wedding gift.

Gorgeous. Congrats to Celia!
