There is no more versatile fashion staple than the white t-shirt. That’s a bold statement but it is an essential part of my wardrobe, and, if you’re into capsule wardrobes, I challenge you to find a capsule wardrobe that doesn’t include a white t-shirt! How to Style the Classic White T-Shirt
With a Black Blazer: A white t-shirt paired with a black blazer is my go-to professional-in-a-pinch outfit. These are the two staple pieces everyone should have in their closet. Pair with loose denim jeans for a more casual vibe, or dress things up with tailored black pants and classic black pumps. I love how versatile this look can be – you can go from power suit woman to heading to the movies with your family, just by switching out your bottoms.
With a Dress:
Slip a white t-shirt underneath a silk midi dress to make it office-appropriate. Or wear the shirt over a dress and tie it up in the front for a more playful look.
With Overalls:
Overalls came back into style a few years ago and had serious staying power. You can pick classic denim pair or jazz things up with a multicolored plaid pair. Either way – when you layer a white t-shirt underneath, you’re pulling together a perfectly casual look. Style with Converse to keep the look laid-back or add some mules for a more polished look – your choice!
With a Leather Jacket or Skirt:
A buttery soft black leather jacket paired with a white t-shirt is my favorite downtime look. It’s so comfortable, effortless and is the ultimate “cool girl” look. Pair with gold jewelry, tousled, wavy hair and black boots and you will be the envy of all fashionistas. Too hot? Style your white tee with a gorgeous staple skirt.
With Wide-Legged Trousers:
My current favorite style trends is the wide-legged trouser look. I love that fashion repeats itself, and this piece is flattering on all body types. Pick a fun pattern or something more classic and pair with your white t-shirt for a simple but fashion-forward look. Add some pumps in a bright color for summer flair, and you’re good to go.
